Post Beachdom

I hope everyone is not too depressed to be reintegrating back into the workforce after the beach. Of course one way to pass the time and cherish the memories is to post pictures on photobucket. Keep in mind that people retain the right to delete unflattering photos of themselves. If you don't have the original email I sent out, the following info will get you started:

Username: codygallo

Password: grayton
Guest password (for viewing only): beach

To keep things organized please post new albums by year first "2008" then by event "Grayton" followed by name "Photographer"

Tarzan Movie Vote is in.

Dear Beachminded,

Due to an unusual flurry of voting for their favorite Tarzan movie for this year's showing, I have decided to bring the top TWO vote getters, "Tarzan Finds A Son" and "Tarzan And His Mate".

Not making the cut this year were "Tarzan's Secret Treasure", "Tarzan Escapes", "Tarzan The Ape Man" and Tarzan's New York Adventure".

For those of you who voted for those films, I'm very sorry.

Also not making the cut was "Tarzan Triumphs", which unfortunately I don't own. Please check your collections if you have a copy of "Tarzan Triumphs".

Volkmar has volunteered to host the post-movie "tea & chat" this year. The discussion topics will be "What does Tarzan See In Jane?" and "Is Jane Every Man's Dream Girl?"

Volkmar warns that he will not tolerate shouting or fisticuffs as happened several years ago during the discussion "Political Correction and Tarzan in the 21st Century".

He wants a more intellectual chat along the lines of 1993's "Tarzan's Personality - Nature or Nuture?"Cookies will be served.

See you there.

Gary C.

'til Next Year

We have just finished an excellent week at the beach. I hope everyone else had as good of a time as I did. I enjoyed being able to spend time with everyone, and I think this year's dinners have topped all (at least that I can remember). I'm looking foreward to the next time we all get together and most importantly our next beach trip. Hopefully better than this last one, but it will be pretty hard to top.

I hope everyone remembers to check out, and share, our beach photos on photobucket. I trust everyone remembers the username and password, if anyone doesn't I'm sure you can find someone to help you out. I know we'd all love to see a bit from everybody's trip. Rinat has already posted some, as have I, so go ahead and enjoy.

Love, Bess

Success at Last

Whew! After a week of trying to get on this site and be able to post, I have finally made it. What a complicated mess, guided only by poor instructions. I wonder if anyone else has had this problem. Teribly frustrating for me, but that's over now.

So to summarize the current dinner schedule for the Beach Week:

Marni and Fred are hosting Sunday night.
Magnolia Treehouse is hosting Monday might.
Green Tomato is hositng Wednesday night -- on the beach.
Park and Heather will take any open night -- but I supect their small house will not be big enough for all of us, and they may do their dinner at the Treehouse. (TBD)

Can't wait to see everyone. Ciao-Chow. --walton

Ahhh, reading "Dr. Suess on the Loose at Grayton Beach" make me feel so happy. I can't wait to be together again. Friends, water, food. What a good combination.

early birds

it's June 9 through June 16, 2007

This year it's June 9 through June 16 with extra days tagged onto either end by those who come early or leave late. My location is a secret -- but it is in the trees, in the water, on the sand, somewhere south of where I am today. See you very soon. You too, Cody. --waltone

Blogminded

Hello everyone. My personal blog has been working out so well that I decided to start one for the whole group. For one it would be nice for me to hear what everyone else is up to. I invited everyone who I had on my "Beachminded" e-mail list, but if anyone got left out let me know. The only thing is that I believe you have to have a Gmail account to sign-in to the Blogger website to make posts. It's a little extra hassle perhaps, but Gmail is the best e-mail ever. Let me know if you all have any suggestions about the page. Happy posting.
